Aquaponics Project Lead
•Lead a team of 20 student engineers of various backgrounds in designing and implementing a full scale, solar powered Aquaponics system under the mentorship of UCSD Jacob’s School of Engineering MyLabs Program using an equivalent of $20,000 worth of materials and manpower. The system was designed for Second Chance, a non-profit set on rehabilitating previously incarcerated youths and relocated workers in the South San Diego area.

Hazardous Material Business Plan and Dispatch Map Intern •Updated and revised UCSD First Response Dispatch maps using AutoCAD, collaborating with UCSD Chief of Police to aesthetically organize visuals to streamline the primary response process.
•Updated all other Campus Dispatch Maps, Evacuation Maps and online directories for all 767 buildings and facilities in UCSD
•Created and printed $40,000 worth of ArcGIS Campus Dispatch Maps and Hazardous Material Business Plan material.

Summer Intern - Waste Division, stationed in the City of Richmond
•Contributed to developing a decision-support tool in collaboration with the EPA, the City of Richmond, and the Department of Energy’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory which included collecting and mapping site characteristic data as a pre-screening assessment intended to prioritize the most eligible for solar renewable energy development.
•Developed a more accurate Solar Map for the City of Richmond, initially used by LA County, by manipulating LiDar data to visually represent the solar potential of specific sites using the ArcGIS Solar Radiance tool.
•Prepared a guidebook on how to efficiently synthesize data in GIS for other cities to apply the City of Richmond piloted decision-support tool in their own jurisdiction.
HobbiesI enjoy reading and writing technical fiction. I also love the outdoors. Outside of work, I spend my weekends, hiking, playing tennis or ultimate Frisbee. I ac currently studying for the Mechanical Engineers in Training exam. I love music both classical, jazz and mainstream. I play violin and I am trying to learn to play the ukelele.
