I have 15 years of teaching experience in various institutions including university, community college and middle/high schools. I have also worked as Digital Book Editor for a leading college-level Japanese textbook series, contributing to the publication of the first interactive online Japanese textbooks. I have a Master’s Degree in Teaching Japanese as a Foreign Language from San Francisco State University, and am currently enrolled in the Online Teaching Certificate program at UC San Diego Extension, which I expect to complete this summer. My teaching style is very communicative, emphasizing the understanding of the core structure of the language and how to use Japanese appropriately in a variety of contexts. I am passionate about developing effective lessons and providing students with ample opportunities to practice their Japanese.
